In progressive die stamping,

the press uses an automatic supply to transport the workpiece through each stamping station. Each station performs one or more operations throughout the parts production process and the final station is then discharged to the shipping line.

To begin the process, we can put a progressive stamping mold into a mechanical or servo-driven stamping press and move the top mold of the press upwards so that the material can pass through the mold. When the upper mold moves down again, the mold is closed and stamping is carried out.
